INSIDE THE
HEARTS OF
BIBLE WOMEN
|

Dear Lady (or Gentleman), you may have decided to read this series because you or someone you love has gone
through such experiences, and you are hurting and perhaps confused. Or you just may wish to understand those
who have suffered through what this Bible woman did.
The purpose of the "Inside the Hearts of Bible Women" series is to let you know that someone in the Bible
experienced what you did. Sometimes they did not handle their problems correctly; but there are other places in the
Bible that give advice on how to handle such problems. God wants you to know that He understands what you are
going through, He cares for you, and He hurts for you. That is why he put the stories of these women in the Bible.
Each woman's life experience is divided into three parts. The first section in general is the way the Bible
woman was in her normal life. The second section reveals the things that happened in her life to interrupt it and
change it around, sometimes never to return to the previous "normal" again. The third section is about what she
did to try to work through her problem, right or wrong.
At the end of each of the three parts is a suggestion to try to make a difference in the life of someone around
you who has experienced the same thing this Bible woman did, and perhaps the same thing you have gone through
yourself. Please try to set aside time to actually do the suggested good work, or some variation of it. Wouldn't you
~ or didn't you ~ want someone to reach out to you in a similar fashion? If we don't study for life change, why take
the time to study?
A place for Personal Reflections is available at the end of each section. They relate to what this Bible person
went through, and are intended to help you work through your own experience. Please take the time to read them
and look up the Bible verses they refer to. God gave them to you to help.
Finally, the author has available a summary of the scripture basis of the story, and background on what was
going on in the world at the time the Bible woman went through her life-changing experience.
You may wish to supplement this book with the recording of the Bible woman's story. Bell tones indicate a
time for you to stop for some personal reflections. As you listen, try to imagine that you were actually there.
As the author wrote the story of each Bible woman, she tried to put herself inside her skin. She tried to feel
what she felt, and make her live. She wanted her to transcend the centuries to tell you, "I lived, I cried, I survived.
You can too."
